PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic vending machine whose entire cost can be lowered by simplifying the structure of a commodity guard provided in each commodity column. SOLUTION: The commodity guard 26 provided in each commodity column 2 is attached to the commodity column 20 freely movably in the vertical direction and energized upwards by a spring 28, and by pressurizing the commodity guard 26 downwards by a pressing member 50 on a commodity bucket side, the commodity guard 26 is directly driven by the pressing member 50. Thus, the need of providing other linking parts between the commodity guard 26 and the pressing member 50 is eliminated and the structure of the commodity guard 26 in each commodity column 20 is simplified.
