PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speaker used for various acoustic devices with a low profile, light weight and low distortion. SOLUTION: Two upper plates (11A, 11C) for a magnetic circuit are provided to the speaker of this invention, a gap C by chamfering is placed to one end of an upper corner of the upper plate 11C of a magnetic gap 4 to attain thickness reduction of the magnetic circuit under the condition of the same amplitude margin of a voice coil 8 by 2C thereby attaining low profile and weight reduction of the speaker with low distortion, the other end of the upper plate 11C is projected vertically and adopting the thickness of the magnetic gap with the projection included thereto can reduce the thickness of the upper plate 11C so as to attain low profile and weight reduction further more.
