PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor which fixes a brush holder and a brush device easily and surely thereby suppressing the manufacturing cost, without using a means for inserting and locking the foot of the brush holder into a lock hole made in a resin plate as a means for fixing the brush holder and the resin plate of the brush device. SOLUTION: In this brush device 20 which is equipped with the metal brush holder 30 for retaining the brush 34 slidably to a commutator 16 and the resin plate 20a for mounting the brush holder 30, the brush holder 30 is formed of a brush storage 30f and a fixing part 31 having an engaging part 32, and an engaging projection 20b and a fitting projection 20b are formed at the resin plate 20a, and the engaging projection 20c engages with the engaging part 32, and the fitting projection 20b is fitted in the brush storage 30f.
