PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturized band-pass filter, ensuring a sufficient mechanical strength. SOLUTION: The filter comprises a dielectric block 2, composed of first parts belonging to a region extending from one section to another section parallel thereto and second and third parts divided by the first parts, and a metallization formed on the dielectric block 2 surface to form a cut-off waveguide 11 with the first parts and a first and second resonators 12, 13 with the second and third parts. The metallization includes excitation electrodes 8, 9 formed on the broadest side of the block 2. This makes possible attaining both the thinning and the broadening the band of the dielectric block at the same time. Thinning of the dielectric block reduces the radiation loss, to thereby obtain a high unloaded Q-value (Q0 ).
