PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To aim at stabilization of electric contact of a plurality of contact pins with each connecting terminal of an electric part, for a socket for the electric part for making electrically contacted with an outside measurement equipment by holding an electric part such as an IC package in free detachment. SOLUTION: With the socket for an electric part provided with a plurality of contact pins arranged on a socket main body, a slide plate 4 equipped with pin-guide holes 4a arrayed in correspondence with the contact pins and an insertion hole 4b for an operating shaft, and an operating member for operating its movement, a means 20 for uniformizing volume of opening of contact parts at the top end part of the plurality of contact pins against the connecting terminal of the electric part is provided. With this, the volume of opening of each contact part of the contact pins can be unifirmized as a whole, in which, each connecting terminal of the electric part is taken in and stabilization of electric contact of the plurality of contact pins is aimed at.
