PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smoke sensor preventing intrusion of dust and steam, etc. which are the causes of false alarm without obstructing the inflow of smoke into a smoke detection part. SOLUTION: The smoke sensor 1 is provided with the smoke detection part for detecting a smoke flowing in from the outside and an insect net 6 covering the periphery of the smoke detection part and provided with many openings 10. The opening 10 of the insect net 6 is formed so as to turn a diameter d of a circle circumscribing it to be 0.1 mm to 0.3 mm and the opening ratio of the entire insect net 6 is 55% to 80%.
