The shaft (81) of an open-end spinning rotor (8) is supported on bearing disks (72) and is located in the axial direction by an end bearing (1) to ensure correct tracking. The bearing has an intermediate piece (11) with a flat bearing surface (2) that rests at the other end (3) against an adjusting screw (77). The bearing surface (2) has small holes or a porous construction and is fed with compressed air (51) to act as aerostatic bearing. Preferred Features: The bearing surface (2) projects slightly from the body and is permanently pressed into the body. The body is circular at the bearing end but rectangular at the adjusting screw (3) end and has a recess at the top to provide location. It is made of plastic material and reinforced where it bears against the adjusting screw.
