PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder which can record and output images without via a personal computer. SOLUTION: A connecting means to an electronic apparatus of the image recorder is made the same size as that of an outline shape of a predetermined external recording medium (memory card) so that the connecting means can be set to and separated from a connecting slot for the external recording medium of the electronic apparatus. Moreover, an interface for the external recording medium is adopted as an interface means for data communication between the connecting means and the electronic apparatus while the connecting means is set to the slot. Accordingly, the image recorder is enabled to receive image data in a state while set to the electronic apparatus having the slot for the external recording medium and is enabled to directly record and output image data from the electronic apparatus without via the personal computer.
