PURPOSE: A method of transmitting a file in an AAL2 is provided to transmit a file between a CO-IWF(Customer Premises Interworking Function) and a CP-IWF(Central Office Interworking Function) by using an upper protocol for a TFT(Trivial File Transfer) protocol, thereby changing a version of the CP-IWF and a management file. CONSTITUTION: A VPI(Virtual Path Identifier) and a VCI(Virtual Channel Identifier) of a CO-IWF for transmitting a file are retrieved(S61). An SSTED(Service Specific Transmission Error Detection Sublayer) interface is formed by an interface structure between a TFTP(Trivial File Transfer Protocol) and an SSTED(S62). A transmission request is transmitted to the SSTED receiving the transmission request by the interface structure between the TFTP and the SSTED(S63). When the first 2 bytes are inserted to SSTED-INFO(SSTED Interface Data) as a protocol ID for the TFTP(S64), the SSTED attaches the VPI/VCI and a TFTP message to the protocol ID, and sends a transmission request to an SSSAR(Service Specific Segmentation and Reassembly Sublayer)(S65).
