ANTIHYPERLIPEMIC COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antihyperlipemic composition having preferable cholesterol-lowering action. SOLUTION: This antihyperlipemic composition comprises a water extract ingredient and a water-alcohol mixed solution extract ingredient of root of a plant selected from Panax japonicum and allied species thereof as active ingredients. The composition develops preferable cholesterol-lowering action by including the water extract ingredient and the water-alcohol mixed solution extract ingredient.
