PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide hair growth inhibitors capable of effectively inhibiting the body hair from growing and therefore capable of reducing treatment frequency of removing the hair, and to provide a cosmetic containing the same. SOLUTION: One of the hair growth inhibitors contains a dermal papilla cell growth inhibitor which is an extract from common marigold and/or pearl talc as an active ingredient. Another hair growth inhibitor contains an outer root sheath cell differentiation inhibitor which is an extract from one, two or more kinds of plants selected from Chondrus, Gloiopeltis, Ceramium, and Durvillea as an active ingredient. The other hair growth inhibitor contains the active ingredient and an enzyme which specifically degrades hair keratin. |
