PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome a problem such that it is hard to mount a handrail in a room of a general dwelling, because the handrail cannot be permanently provided (fixed) near a front face of a structure (e.g. a closet) which is provided on an indoor side face of the dwelling in such a manner as to be incapable of being blocked. SOLUTION: A handrail rod 1, which is long enough to get close to a ceiling face from an height position of indoor installation of the handrail, is used; a mount 2 is fixed to the height position of the installation of the handrail on the indoor side face; a base end 10 of the handrail rod 1 is pivoted on the mount 2 by a pin 5; the handrail rod 1 can be pivotally displaced between an in-use attitude of a horizontal fall and a retreated attitude of vertical rising; and when being a hindrance, the handrail rod 1 can be moved to a position of the retreated attitude. |
