<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head lamp light distribution control system capable of being applied also to such a vehicle type that an origin zone is largely displaced from the center position of an origin slit. SOLUTION: This head lamp light distribution control system comprises a rotating plate, a plurality of slits and the origin slit formed in the rotating plate, a photo interrupter 36 for detecting the origin slit and outputting a first detection signal, and photo interrupters 33 and 43 for detecting the slits and outputting a second detection signal indicating the rotating direction and rotating amount of the rotating plate. A correction zone larger in area than the origin slit is set on the rotating plate, a residence time for which the photo interrupter 33 resides at a position for detecting the slits is added up for each slit in the correction zone. When a vehicle speed is maintained at a specified level or higher and the residence time for which the photo interrupter 33 is relatively positioned in the correction zone exceeds a specified time or more, the slit for which the integrated time for each slit within the correction zone in the residence time is maximum is changed to a reference slit.</p> |
