PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow fiber which has a porous hollow portion and has excellent dyeability, light weight, excellent dry touch, excellent swollen touch and the like without deteriorating light weight, strength and chemical resistance, and to provide a fiber structure containing the fibers. SOLUTION: This sea-island type conjugate fiber contains (I) a polymer composition comprising (II) a polyester-based block copolymer comprising (IIa) a polyester block and (IIb) an addition polymer block as a sea component and (III) a water-soluble thermoplastic polyvinyl alcohol-based polymer as an island component. A method for treating a fiber structure containing the sea- island type conjugate fibers comprises treating the fiber structure with water to dissolve off at least one portion of the water-soluble thermoplastic polyvinyl alcohol-based polymer from the sea-island type conjugate fiber. |
