PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mesh cloth having excellent chemical resistance and heat resistance, and further having high strength, high modulus and improved knot strength. SOLUTION: This mesh cloth is composed of core-sheath conjugate monofilaments comprising a polyethylene terephthalate having 0.6-1.2 intrinsic viscosity [η] as the core component, and a semiaromatic polyamide comprising 60-100 mol% terephthalic acid unit in the dicarboxylic acid unit, and 60-100 mol% 1,9-nonanediamine unit, or mixture of the 1,9-nonanediamine unit and a 2-methyl-1,8-octanediamine unit in the molar ratio of (40:60)-(99:1) in the diamine unit, as the sheath component.
