PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a medium slip by suppressing excessive warming of a pressurizing member (pressure roller) 30, in an image forming device having an image forming means for forming an unfixed toner image tn on a material on which images are to be recorded P and a heating fixing means 100 for performing heating fixing treatment of the unfixed toner image tn on the material or in a fixing device 100 for performing heating fixing treatment of the unfixed toner image on the material, which is introduced from the image forming means. SOLUTION: In the thermostatic starting stage of the heating fixing means (fixing device) when printing is started, a thermostatic starting time is predicted and thermostatic starting timing is variably controlled to be delayed within the range of being in time for fixing treatment from after the reception of a print signal.
