PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device with a flash device which can use a flash of the flash device for light quality supplementation and other operations, and to provide a light emitting method of a light emission part and a program of the image pickup device. SOLUTION: A camera 1 has six LED's 19-r (red) arranged inside its fixed lens 4, six LED's 19-g (green) outside, and six LED's 19-b (blue) on the outermost side. Once a self-timer is set, the blue LED's illuminate from the start of the self-timer to the end of a set period, the green LED's illuminate from 5 seconds after the self-timer start to the end of the set period, and the red LED's illuminate from 8 seconds after the self-timer start to the end of the set period. Once a shutter key 5 is pressed, the respective LED's are made to flash for compensation by a light quantity corresponding to a detected value of a dimming sensor 20. Consequently, the state of the self-timer can be known from the subject side without any dedicated monitor lamp. |
