METHOD OF PROCESSING SOCKET OF THERMOPLASTIC RESIN TUBE AND TOOL FOR PROCESSING SOCKET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket excellent in strength in a tube end part of a thermoplastic resin tube. SOLUTION: A tool 1 for forming the socket is inserted into the thermoplastic resin tube 2 and then the opposite end parts of the tube 2 are fixed respectively by implements 3 for fixing. In this state, the portion of the tube 2 into which the tool is inserted is heated to a socket forming temperature and then a socket part 20 is formed in the thermoplastic resin tube 2 by expanding the diameter of the tool 1. After the diameter of the tool 1 is contracted and the tool is taken outside from the tube 2, the socket part 20 of the tube 2 is cut. Thereby the socket is obtained in the tube end part of the thermoplastic resin tube 2.
