PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition excellent in fluidity associated with a low temperature fixation property, and capable of giving a static charge image-developing toner excellent in preserving property, and a powder coating material excellent in appearance (smooth property) and weather resistance, and having a good blocking resistance. SOLUTION: This resin composition is obtained by performing a polycondensation reaction of (A) an alkyl group-substituted alicyclic divalent carboxylic acid compound having a form of bonding carboxy group or a carboxylic acid derivative group to each of adjacent 2 carbon atoms forming an alicyclic ring, (B) an alicyclic dihydric alcohol and (C) a chain state aliphatic dihydric alcohol to obtain a polyester resin (II), performing a polycondensation reaction of the polyester (II) with a polybasic carboxylic acid or polyhydric alcohol to obtain another polyester (I), and then melting and mixing the polyesters (I) with (II).
