PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound having high insecticidal activity, and to provide an insecticide comprising the same as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: This compound is a substituted benzene such as 3,5- dichloro-1-(3,3-dichloro-2-propenyloxy)-4- 4-[5-(trifluoromethyl)-2- pyridyloxy]butyl}benzene. The insecticide comprises the substituted benzene as the active ingredient.
