PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feeder capable of preventing an edge of a sheet material in a bottom layer from being caught in a seat part of regulating members on both sides in setting the sheet material on a loading surface of a loading member. SOLUTION: The slidable regulating member is provided with a side pressure part abutting on a side surface of the sheet material, and the seat part abutting on a bottom part of the sheet material. The loading surface includes a step part higher than a height of the seat part of the regulating member right behind of a position where the regulating member slides to a feeding direction of the sheet material. The seat part of the regulating member has a width which is largest in a position abutting on the step part and is narrowed as close to a front of the sheet material in the feeding direction.
