PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner to be mounted on an idling-stop vehicle capable of restricting deterioration of cooling feeling to the utmost even when cooling ability is deteriorated at the stoppage of an engine. SOLUTION: This air conditioner for a vehicle comprises a blower 114a to blow air cooled by an evaporator 114 into a cabin, and a control device 130 to control air conditioning conditions in the vehicle in an auto mode by changing blow quantity Va of the blower 114a in accordance with target blow temperature TAO determined based on the temperature set by a passenger and environmental conditions of the vehicle. The control device 130 fixes the blow quantity Va of the blower 114a at a blow quantity Va1 just before the engine 10 is stopped when the engine 10 is stopped at the time of the auto mode, and returns the fixed blow quantity Va1 to the blow quantity Va determined the auto mode when the engine 10 is restarted.
