The projectile (4) release time determination uses a timed fuse (5) fired by a firearm (1). The projectile release distance is found, and base distance (Lb) found providing a set constant. Two markers (8a,8b) are positioned through which the projectile passes. A number of theoretical oscillations are calculated and a reference number found from the set constant. The reference number sets the timing count for the projectile firing.
