<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper ejector that can suppress a curl caused by a correcting mechanism. SOLUTION: A contact/separation mechanism of a decurler follower roller 8 is so constructed that pressing springs 26 and bearings 27 are mounted on a bracket 28, a lever 30 is fixed on a shaft 31 projecting from the bracket 28 so as to connect to a hinge portion 29 of the bracket 28, and a contact/ separation solenoid 32 and a spring 33 are mounted on the lever 30. For a transfer material whose curl direction after fixing is a back curl, the contact/ separation solenoid 32 is set off, so that the spring 33 applies normal pressure to the decurler follower roller 8. For a transfer material whose curl direction after fixing is a face curl, the contact/separation solenoid 32 is set on before the transfer material passes a decurler mechanism, to exert force overcoming the force of the spring 33, so that the decurler follower roller 8 along with the bracket 28 is separated from the other rollers forming the decurler mechanism to exclude a downward depression of the transfer material P.</p> |
