PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating oil composition which excels in abrasion prevention and, simultaneously, has improved fatigue life by the prevention of pitting, particularly a lubricating oil composition suitable as the automotive transmission oil. SOLUTION: The lubricating oil composition comprises a lubricating oil base oil and, on the basis of the total amount of the composition, (A) 0.004-0.05 mass%, in terms of the amount of a boron element, boron-containing ashless dispersing agent, (B) >=0.01 mass%, in terms of the amount of an alkaline earth metal, alkaline earth metal based detergent having a total base number of 0-500 mgKOH/g, and (C) 0.01-0.3 mass%, in terms of the amount of a sulfur element, sulfur based additive. |
