PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatically closed window, the open state of which is hardly visually confirmed, and having a mechanism for preventing forgetting to close the window, suitable for a building having a window which a person tends to forget to close. SOLUTION: This automatically closed window is formed by a damper stay 30 for energizing a sash 2 to the closing chain side to totally closing, a window opening means 5 for opening the sash 2 against the damper stay 30 and holding the same in the window opening position, and a window closing means for releasing holding of the sash 2 by the window opening means 5 at an arbitrary preset time to close the window by the action of the damper stay 30. The window is opened as each person pleases and the window is closed automatically at a preset time, whereby forgetting to close the window can be surely prevented. The window can be automatically closed at a preset time only by addition of the window closing means so as to little increase the cost.
