摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy and effective method for stabilizing hydrogen storage alloys applicable even to Ti-Cr hydrogen storage alloys, and to provide a hydrogen storage method for the hydrogen storage alloys. SOLUTION: The hydrogen storage alloy in which hydrogen is occluded is exposed to the air to deactivate the surface of the hydrogen storage alloy. The deactivation treatment for the hydrogen storage alloy can also be performed under atmospheric pressure because the deactivation treatment here does not require any particular pressure condition. This method for stabilizing the hydrogen storage alloy can be effectively applied even to the alloy containing body- centered cubic structure (BCC phase) as a main phase and the alloy consisting essentially of Ti and Cr.
