PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reed implement for Gagaku (ancient court music and dance) wind instrument which enables even a beginner to easily produce sounds, is easily usable as a child musical instrument as well and can be inexpensively purchased in a large quantity. SOLUTION: The reed implement 1 insertable and removable to and from a mouthpiece side opening end of the Gagaku wind instrument P is formed of a plastic member and a mouthpiece section 5 constituted by arbitrarily setting the size of an opening width L into a state that the desired sounds can be produced is made formable. The reed implement 1 is formed by a combination of an upper half split body 1A and lower half split body 1B half split and formed to be gradually flattened in the external form shape to the mouthpiece section 5 side from a half-circular section which is the side to be attached by insertion to the opening end on the mouthpiece side of the Gagaku wind instrument P. The end edges on the half split opening side of the respective half split bodies 1A and 1B are provided with projecting parts 2 for engagement and grooved sections 3 for engagement which fit to each other.
