PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate an operation to tilt the rotary axis of a bit when concrete tailings are removed from a bit after boring and an operation to restore the rotary axis of the bit to its original position after removing the concrete tailings and an operation to position the rotary axis of the bit. SOLUTION: This core drill 10 comprises a support pillar 30 which extends from a base 20 in an upright standing fashion, with a rack mounted, in the upright standing direction, on one side part of the pillar, a head 40 which has a pinion to be engaged with the rack and ascends/descends the support pillar 30, a lifting handle for operating the pinion by rotating it and a motor 70 which is attached to the head 40 to drive the bit 60 by rotation. In this core drill 10, the motor 70 is installed at the head 40 in a tilting fashion and a regulating member which regulates the tilting action of the motor 70 in such a state that the rotary axis of the bit 60 faces at least in the upright standing direction.
