PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly durable electrophotographic photoreceptor which is capable of forming images stably for a long period, a coating liquid for forming a protective layer of the electrophotographic photoreceptor, a manufacturing method of manufacturing the electrophotographic photoreceptor, an image forming method using the electrophotographic photoreceptor, an image forming device using the electrophotographic photoreceptor and a process cartridge using the electrophotographic photoreceptor. SOLUTION: This electrophotographic photoreceptor is an electrophotographic photoreceptor having a photosensitive layer and a protective layer on a conductive base, in which the protective layer consists of at least metal oxide particulates, an organic acid and binder resin; the binder resin is a thermosetting resin and the content of the organic acid ranges from 0.05 to 5 wt.% of the curing resin.
