PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller coating device which is an automatic coating device for fixing roller and is a production device enhanced in efficiency by minimizing the contamination of the shaft of a coating machine and decreasing the frequencies of stopping by cleaning in performing a masking by using a tape. SOLUTION: This fixing roller (1) for an image forming device is a fixing roller (1) which comprises a primer layer (2) and a release layer (3) of a fluororesin on a metallic substrate (1a), in which both ends thereof have journal sections (1c) finer than the diameter of a barrel and the non-paper passing sections at both ends of the barrel of the metallic substrate (1a) are finer in diameter than the other barrels (1b).
