PURPOSE: A method for managing card approval information using a memory address and a credit card system using the same are provided to manage card approval information using additional management numbers according to cards endowed by a card company when a card is issued. CONSTITUTION: A memory area for storing approval information according to cards and an attribute of a card user is divided into many memories and a logical address is allocated according to the memories(s110). When a card is issued(s120), an inherent card number is created according to cards, a logical address according to memories is selected sequentially, and the selected logical address is allocated as a management number of new or reissued card(s130). A management table for managing a relation between the management number and the card number is created(s140), the management number and the card number are stored in a memory chip in the new or reissued card(s150). Approval information of the card and an attribute of a card user are stored in a memory corresponded to the management number of the new or reissued card(s160). A card approval information download message comprising a start address of a memory area including many memories and data of the memory area is created(s170) and transmitted to a system and a terminal device(s180).
