<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder lock protective device which ensures theft prevention of a vehicle not only by blocking a key hole by means of a shutter but also by executing authentication by means of an immobilizer. SOLUTION: The cylinder lock protective device is comprised of a shutter 2 for opening/closing a key hole 10 from the outside, a cover 3 covering the shutter 2 and having an opening 21 through which the key hole 10 is exposed to the outside, and a locking means 4 for locking the shutter 2 in a closed state. The cylinder lock protective device can protect the cylinder lock by locking the shutter 2 in the closed state by means of the locking means 4. According to the device, an antenna 7a of the immobilizer 23 is arranged on the periphery of the opening 21 of the cover 3. The immobilizer 23 functions to communicate by radio for authentication with a transponder 24 built in an ignition key IK, to determine whether or not the ignition key is specific to the vehicle, and to prevent theft of the vehicle.</p> |
