PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve vertical registration of a sheet bundle. SOLUTION: A sheet processor has a feed roller pair 25 for feeding sheets, a substantially vertically designed sheet stacking surface of an intermediate processing tray 23 on which the sheets fed by the feed roller pair 25 are stacked, a reference wall 92 positioned at a substantially vertically lower end of the sheet stacking surface to form a sheet butt reference on which the sheets on the sheet stacking surface butt, and a moving means comprising cams 97 and the like for moving the sheet butt reference wall 92 vertically. During or after a sheet stacking operation, with the sheets stacked on the sheet stacking surface, the sheet butt reference wall 92 is vertically reciprocated once or more.
