PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a twist yarn having good visibility and handleability to be used as a straight line indicator in construction engineering and civil engineering activities. SOLUTION: This twist yarn comprises thermoplastic resin filaments containing a pigment and having a modified cross-sectional shape 1.2-5.0 in modification degree; wherein the fineness D1 (dtex) and number of twists T1 (T/M) for first twist and the fineness D2 (dtex) and number of twists (T/M) for final twist simultaneously meet the following relationships(a) and (b): (a) 3,000<T1×√D1<24,000, and (b) 0.8<(T1×√D1)/(T2×√D2)<1.2.
