NATURAL GAS STORAGE SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a natural gas storage system for planning to adjust the mutual demand between the electric power and the city gas and to stably secure the city gas. SOLUTION: The natural gas storage system comprises cooling a natural gas (a) under a specified pressure to convert it into the hydrate (d) and storing the hydrate (d) when the demand is small; and decomposing/vaporizing the natural gas (a) stored as the hydrate (d) by depressurization and/or heating to deliver it as the natural gas (a) when the demand is large. On converting the natural gas (a) into the hydrate (d), the natural gas (a) is cooled by electrically driven refrigerating machine facilities 4. On delivering the decomposed/ vaporized natural gas (a), the natural gas (a) is depressurized to a specified pressure by an expansion turbine 10 for depressurization and driving a generator.
