PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device using a hydraulic cylinder saving space and energy, facilitating delivery and installation work, and minimizing on-site construction cost when used in a home elevator or a cargo elevator for a warehouse or the like. SOLUTION: In the elevating device, a car used as an elevating chamber is connected to one end of a rope connected with the hydraulic cylinder. It is provided with two hydraulic cylinders 1a and 1b integrated in parallel so that rods 2a and 2b of the cylinders extend and contract in mutually opposite directions, and a hydraulic unit 4 connected with one of the hydraulic cylinders 1b via a cylinder clamp 3 and feeding pressure oil to the hydraulic cylinders 1a and 1b.
