INK CARTRIDGE AND INK-JET RECORDER USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink cartridge and an ink-jet recorder using the same which can obtain a uniform printing density/quality by fully mixing ink within the cartridge when the ink is used. SOLUTION: The ink cartridge has a plurality of first ink storage chambers 11 (including a third ink storage chamber 17) connected detachably to a recording head and enclosing ink inside which generates a concentration gradient, and an ink channel 18 for letting the ink storage chambers communicate with each other. The ink channel is constituted of one in which ink of a high- concentration ink layer (a) formed to a lower region in the first ink storage chamber 11 and ink of a low-concentration ink layer (b) formed to an upper region flow and join in accordance with the supply of ink to the recording head.
