PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant thermoplastic resin composition which does not contain a halogen-based flame retardant and a phosphate-based flame retardant, thereby scarcely gives loads to environments, and has excellent flame retardancy, excellent rigidity, and excellent thermal stability in a thin state. SOLUTION: This flame retardant thermoplastic resin composition comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. of at least one thermoplastic resin selected from an aromatic polycarbonate resin, a polyphenylene ether-based resin, and a polyarylate resin, (B) 1.5 to 50 pts.wt. of an inorganic filler, (C) 0.05 to 5 pts.wt. of at least one silicon-containing compound selected from an alkoxysilane compound and a Si-H bond-containing silicone compound, and (D) 0.01 to 1 pt.wt. of a fluorine- containing polymer having a fibril-forming ability.
