SPUN YARN AND TEXTILE STRUCTURE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spun yarn having a combination of shape stability with quick dryability even if undergoing moisture absorption, and capable of giving lightweight textile products easy to be disposed of and having very good touch feeling. SOLUTION: This spun yarn is a sheath/core-type spun yarn, wherein the core part consists of a solvent-soluble component and the sheath part consists of staple fibers comprising either (A) polylactic acid-based fibers and natural fibers or (B) polylactic acid-based fibers. The other version of this spun yarn is a hollow spun yarn which is obtained by dissolving and removing the solvent- soluble component in the above sheath/core-type spun yarn.
