PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film pressure plate which assures flatness, is inexpensive and less in wear. SOLUTION: The film pressure plate is furnished with a planar member, a plurality of microspherical sections which are formed on one surface of the planar member and come into contact with the film and approximately circular shaped plane sections which are formed at the front ends of the microspherical section, and it is characterized in that the outer edges of the plane sections are smoothly continuous with the surfaces of the microspherical sections. The invention of Claim 2 is characterized in that the height of the plane sections is made to match with the film posture during supply, thereby making the contact pressure of the film and the plane sections approximately equal. The invention of Claim 3 is characterized in that a polymethyl methacrylate is used as material in Claim 1 to Claim 2.
