A roller bearing for a bearing unit applied to a so-called under-race lubrication that employs an oil air system and an oil mist system, wherein a lubricating oil is fed from the bottom (18) of an annular groove (14) formed in one end face (13) of an inner race (5) to rolling elements (10) through an oil supply hole (21), a V-shaped groove (20) is formed circumferentially in an edge portion of a raceway groove (8) of the inner race (5), an outlet port (25) for the oil supply hole (21) is formed in a recessed portion defined by one of inclined surfaces of the V-shaped groove (20), a clearance (S) is formed between the outlet port (25) and the rolling elements (10), and a sufficient amount of air flows through the clearance (S), thereby supplying the lubricating oil to the rolling elements (10) and the raceway groove (8).
