PURPOSE: A cutting tool with an indexable insert is provided to adjust a cutting blade exactly and precisely even when structural space is small by fixing the indexable insert to a support member, through simplified structure. CONSTITUTION: In a cutting tool for machining of workpieces, a supporting member(20) supports at least one cutting blade insert, especially a plate-shaped cutting blade insert(30) at an exact position. The tool has an adjusting device to adjust the position of the cutting blade insert to the supporting member, and a clamping device of a clamping claw(34) type. The clamping claw presses the cutting blade insert on a supporting surface and thus the cutting blade insert is clamped to the position adjusted to the supporting member. The cutting blade insert is received in a pocket of the clamping claw and the supporting surface is formed to the supporting member. |
