PURPOSE: An apparatus for opening nozzle for tundish is provided to improve quality of billet and prevent opening impossibility or nozzle clogging by preventing a filler material for sealing the nozzle from mixing with molten steel when opening a nozzle installed on the bottom of the tundish to discharge molten steel supplied to tundish. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for opening nozzle for tundish comprises a housing(10) which is inserted into the lower part of a nozzle(3) that is installed on the bottom of the tundish, and on the inner circumferential surface of the central part of which a plural fixing elements(10a) are formed; a mounting axis(12) that is installed at the upper part of the housing(10) to fix the housing(10) to the nozzle(3); a separating spring(14) that is supported to a fixing element and installed inside the housing(10); a fixed cap(15) which is inserted into the center of the separating spring(14), and on the circumferential surface of which a fixed protrusion(15a) is formed; a stopper fixing shaft(16) to the upper part of which a stopper for sealing the nozzle(3) is connected, and to the lower part of which a locking spring(19) for supporting the fixed cap(15)is connected; and a separation lever(20) that is equipped with a coupling groove(21) on the bottom of the housing(10), wherein the coupling groove(21) is rotated around a rotation shaft(23), and the fixed protrusion(15a) formed on the circumferential surface of the fixed cap(15) is inserted into the upper part of the coupling groove(21).
