摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optic material which has high heat resistance, is little in the deterioration of characteristics by orientation relaxation and has high electro-optic characteristics. SOLUTION: This electro-optic material is characterized in that it consists of a polyimide, a nonlinear optical substance or a modifying group having a nonlinear optical function and a low-temperature curing accelerator. Further, it is characterized in being a polyimide nonlinear optical material in which photosensitivity is given to a polyimide precursor or the low-temperature curing accelerator, and after a nonlinear optical polyimide resin composition is applied to a substrate and once subjecting the coating to a thermal curing treatment, a thermal curing treatment accompanied by a polarization orientation treatment is performed.</p>
