PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating composition for forming a construction such as a shore protection wall, river bed, dam, block and fish shelter enabling the growth of aquatic plants on the surface in a short time after installation and having a function to protect the construction, a method for forming a coating film by using the coating composition and a construction having a coating layer having aquatic plant growing function. SOLUTION: The coating composition for the growth of aquatic plant contains cement, aggregate, activated silica and porous inorganic powder.
