PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow fiber for gas separation by using a cross-linked and modified polyimide membrane. SOLUTION: This hollow fiber consists of a first layer containing essentially the polyimide, and a second layer containing essentially a polymer not essentially receiving the effect of a chemical modification method, and the polyimide layer is made to be in contact with a polyamine.
