PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a cutter correction value readily. SOLUTION: When a printer PRN is set with an appropriate cutter correction value, a print sheet 12 is cut by the printer PRN and moved in the sheet feed direction. A sheet sensor 70 detects the forward end of the print sheet 12 on the discharging end side and then the moved distance of the print sheet 12 is compared with the design distance between a cutter 50 and the sheet sensor 70 and the difference is employed as a cutter correction value. Consequently, the printer PRN can acquire a cutter correction value automatically.
