PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin composition having excellent heat resistance, impact resistance and mechanical properties. SOLUTION: This resin composition comprises a maleimide-based resin having a repeating unit represented by general formula (1) (X1 is a 4-30C bifunctional organic group; m is an integer of 5-10,000) and a phenol resin as essential components in the weight ratio of 100:5-2,000.
