PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermoplastic cellulose ester composition composed of a cellulose ester and a polylactic acid both of biomass based materials as the major components which reduce an environmental load, and a thermoplastic cellulose ester composition fiber composed thereof which excels in melt spinnable properties, and excels in not only strong elongation properties but also uniformity of fineness. SOLUTION: The thermoplastic cellulose ester composition comprises at least a cellulose ester and a polylactic acid having a weight average molecular weight of 1,000-20,000 as the plasticizer, and the fiber is composed thereof. Furthermore, the thermoplastic cellulose ester composition additionally comprises a plasticizer containing an epoxy group to be jointly used, and the fiber is composed thereof.
